Ws ea comprises of four musical "expressions" (tear, reveal, reaction, scab). While these expressions maintain their own musical identity, one may arise from another in a fluid manner, so that their distinct characters are blurred. Each of the four expressions suggests a predetermined durations and specific sounds. Subtle stretching of time, insertion of small silences, and odd moments enhanced by the contrabassoon help to further define the hierarchies that emerge from the four expressions.
